Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress, model and actor mostly active in the Indian film industry. In 2006, her Miss Sri Lanka Universe title was also won by her. Her family is multiracial, comprised of Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian descendance, Fernandez spent the early phase of her career in Bahrain. Her degree was in mass communications from the University of Sydney and worked as a reporter for a television station for Sri Lanka for a considerable time prior to stepping into the modelling industry. She became one of Sri Lanka's top models when she represented her country at Miss Universe 2006. When she was in 2009 on her professional travels to India, she landed the role of Jasmine in the Sujoy Ghosh film 'Aladin'. In 2011 she was cast in the part of Priya as the lead female on "Murder 2". Fernandez's career flourished after the film was a critical and commercial success. Since then, she's been in films like Housefull 2 or 3, Race 2, Definition of Fear and Judwaa 2 She serves as the brand ambassador of many companies and has earned multiple awards.
