Kari Samantha (born April 28th in 1967) Wuhrer is an American singer and actress. Her career started when she was still a teenager. Her most well-known role is Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders and also the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter Karin Noble (nee Noble) and is an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a policeman and car dealer). Her family has given her three brothers. While she was a kid, Wuhrer sang at clubs and went out to sing. When she began studying acting at Wooster School at 13 years old, she was a drama student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. She was born April 28 on the 28th of April at Brookfield Connecticut. Kari was born in the town of Brookfield, Connecticut on April 28, 1967. Kari was born in a family of four. She sang in nightclubs as an teen, sneaking away from the home to perform. Kari started acting in the Wooster school when she was 13 before going into drama school at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under renowned Uta Hagen. Kari was introduced to acting at 13 and got her breakthrough in 1987 when she appeared on MTV Remote Control.
