Even Rolling Stone called the song one of their Top Songs in the year 2015. That same year she debuted the album she titled Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also one of the five original songs. The song was unique due to the fact that many listeners were able to relate to the interview she did with rapper Rap-Up on her journey to learn to love and embrace her. Cara integrates messages about kindness and loving yourself into her music. All of Cara's music stems directly from her struggles with mental illness, insomnia and other issues. Reuters said that she described her album "half turbulent, and half finished". The singer says that she found her growth during therapy. Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer who was born on July 11 1996 to parents from Italian descent. Her first guitar was purchased by her parents after she turned 10 which ignited the passion for music. Three years later, when she was 13, she began singing her favorite tracks via YouTube. It was an excellent opportunity to show others the fact that she had talent and courage.
